👤 END-USER INSTRUCTIONS

Buying & Using Electricity at Your Stay - Available 02/2026

🔌 Electricity at Your Pitch

Each pitch is provided with a 16A electric hook-up suitable for normal motorhome use.

Electricity is managed automatically to ensure fair use for all guests.

✅ What’s Included with Your Booking if you have pre-paid

  • Electricity is included with your stay
  • You receive £5 per night of electricity credit
  • This equals 4 kWh per night
  • Credit is activated automatically on arrival

For most motorhomes, this comfortably covers:

  • Battery charging
  • Fridge (on electric)
  • Lighting
  • TV and device charging

⚠️ High-Power Appliances

Some appliances use a lot of electricity, for example:

  • Electric heaters
  • Fan heaters
  • Electric kettles used frequently

These can use your included electricity quickly.

If your electricity credit runs out, the hook-up will switch off automatically to protect the system.

💡 If Your Electricity Turns Off

Don’t worry — this just means your electricity credit has been used.

To restore power:

  1. Scan the QR code on your hook-up socket
  2. Choose how much electricity to buy:
    • £5 = 4 kWh
    • £10 = 8 kWh
  3. Pay securely by card (Stripe)
  4. Electricity is restored automatically within seconds

No staff assistance is needed.

💳 Pay-As-You-Go Electricity

You can buy extra electricity at any time during your stay.

  • Payments are instant
  • No app required
  • No registration needed
  • Works on any smartphone

Your remaining credit is used automatically.

⏱ End of Stay

  • Electricity credit is valid only for the duration of your stay
  • Any unused credit expires at checkout
  • The hook-up switches off automatically after departure

This ensures fairness for the next guest.

🔒 Safety & Limits

  • Maximum supply: 16 Amps
  • If this limit is exceeded, power will shut off automatically
  • Simply reduce load and restore power via the QR page if needed

Guidance:

  • Low‑power loads (lighting, TV, charging, compressor fridge) only draw tens of watts; 4 kWh will usually cover a couple of days of normal use if you are sensible.

  • High‑power appliances (1–2 kW heaters, kettles) burn through 4 kWh very quickly: a 2 kW heater will use the entire 4 kWh in about 2 hours of continuous running; a 2 kW kettle uses roughly 0.1 kWh per boil, so you only get around 40 short boils.
